MISSION

The Center for Respect of Life and Environment was founded in 1986 to fosteran ethic of compassion toward all sentient beings and respect for the integrityof nature. This ethic urges each of us to expand our moral concern to futuregenerations; to poor, oppressed and disenfranchised human beings; to animals,plants and the earth as a whole. With a particular focus on higher education andreligious institutions, the Center promotes a humane and sustainable future forall members of the earth community. The Center is an affiliate of The Humane Society of the United States.
